SAN FRANCISCO, September 21, 2020 – At first glance, soccer may seem to have little in common with the telecommunications and technology industries. For Isidoro Porquicho, however, his two-decade career and one of his favorite pastimes outside of work require the same two ingredients: passion to bring strategy to life, and composure to execute. “My professional career has been about transforming teams to lead markets, understand trends, and relentlessly serve customers to fulfill the needs of today and the aspirations of tomorrow," he says.
Isidoro is bringing that drive to his new role as AppDirect's Managing Director for EMEA. "Over the years, I've learned that transparency is critical," he says. “Whether you're working with Norwegian telcos, British utilities, French banks, South African system integrators, Dutch SaaS companies, or Italian distributors, they all value honesty and openness.“
An engineer by nature (and education), Isidoro was drawn to AppDirect due to the strength of its solutions. “I join the team hugely impressed by the quality of the technology and products," he says. But that's not the only factor that drew him to AppDirect. Before coming to AppDirect, Isidoro held leadership positions in sales and operations at Ingram Micro, Izo Systems, and Thomson Reuters. Prior to that, he also led business units at Telefonica and Compaq. To complement his impressive list of accomplishments, Isidoro is also proficient in five languages. "Respecting, interacting, and engaging with multiple languages and cultures is what energizes me," he says.
Those interests and skills will be put to good use as Isidoro works with the larger AppDirect team to drive significant growth across the EMEA region.
