Headline: Security Workshops

Once you return from Channel Partners, think about prioritizing customer conversations focused on security. Why? It’s an extremely hot topic that’s not going away anytime soon.

On top of state-sponsored hacking— i.e., Fancy Bear—AI models like ChatGPT are exposing critical security gaps. How? Hackers are using ChatGPT to generate even more convincing phishing attacks or even deep fakes that can be used for malicious purposes. Along those lines, employees are submitting potentially sensitive business data to large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT in droves.

The bright spot is that with massive media attention around these AI models, security is top of mind for organizations. Many believe technology advisors are in an ideal position to educate customers about security. This includes presenting risks posed by unchecked threats and guiding customers to a security tech stack.

Srikara Upadhyaya, a Research Analyst at Canalys, highlights the security channel opportunity.…

"Overall, more than 90% of total cybersecurity product and services spending will go through channel partners in 2023.”

Ready to boost your security game?

Attend an AppDirect Security Workshop. Even if you’ve never sold cybersecurity solutions, you can start now. We provide an in-person, 6.5-hour security workshop that gives you the tools, training, and discovery questions to have productive customer conversations about security with confidence.

Why should you attend?

  1. Better understand the cybersecurity landscape
  2. Identify opportunities to provide value-added services
  3. Grow your book of business with customers
  4. Increase customer stickiness
  5. Differentiate from competitors

Security Workshop series—what can you expect?

The AppDirect security workshop series is an interactive, half-day session that outlines the 5 Security Layers of Opportunity. It also includes a role-play session where advisors prepare for and execute a Customer Security Discovery Appointment. Attendees then create solution options for the customer. Some of the biggest providers in security, such as Acronis, Malwarebytes, Xenex, Dropbox, and Lumen then provide feedback on the role-play customer appointments to give you real-world insight you can use in your next customer conversation.
