AppDirect Drives Cloud Service Adoption Through AppDirect Express Program for Microsoft
July 6, 2015
San Francisco, Calif. – July 7, 2015 – AppDirect, the leader in cloud service commerce, today announced new customers, partners and product features that it will fully unveil at its Cloud Solution Provider Symposium during a pre-conference event at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando, Fla., on July 12.
New partners, including Spark Digital and Hawaiian Telcom, are now leveraging AppDirect’s platform to package and bundle Microsoft Office 365 with other business applications, such as Mozy backup and Box, in order to scale and go to market quickly.
Powered by AppDirect, both Spark Digital and Hawaiian Telcom will be some of the first Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs) to begin leveraging Microsoft’s new CREST API, which will allow partners to create customers, manage customer profiles, and purchase and manage orders and subscriptions of Microsoft offers for their customers.
“Working with AppDirect has allowed us to offer the first fully integrated SaaS marketplace in New Zealand, and reinforces our focus on enabling more businesses to unleash their digital potential,” said Mark Redgrave, Head of Marketing at Spark Digital, New Zealand’s leading technology and telecommunications provider. “Through Spark Digital Apps, businesses can buy and manage software such as Microsoft Office 365, all using a single log-in and on one bill.”
“Speed to market has been crucial for us and the AppDirect Express program allows us to get up and running as a cloud service provider and quickly start offering our customers Microsoft Office 365 and other software they need,” said Kenneth Hensarling, Director of Business Product Management at Hawaiian Telcom, Hawaii’s technology leader. “Hawaiian Telcom is proud to be the only Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider in Hawaii and we see this as a huge opportunity to become a player in the software market.”
Hawaiian Telcom used AppDirect’s recently announced AppDirect Express program to become an approved Microsoft CSP. The program enables prospective and approved Microsoft CSPs to rapidly deploy cloud marketplaces and begin selling Office 365 and other third-party software in accordance with Microsoft’s CSP requirements.
In addition to new CSP partners, AppDirect has also added several new developers and third-party services into its catalog in order to provide customers with the best and most useful cloud software available. New developers and third-party services include: Trend Micro and DocuSign integrated solutions for Office 365, Mural, PlumChoice and Mandarine BS for customer onboarding, activation and support solutions, SkyKick’s migration project automation and back-up services, and BitTitan email and data migration services.
Daniel Saks, AppDirect’s President and Co-CEO, will open a pre-conference session at WPC during AppDirect’s Cloud Solution Provider Symposium. The session will also include a full platform demo and a discussion with executives from Microsoft, Trend Micro and DocuSign, as well as Hawaiian Telcom.
“Microsoft has firmly established itself as a dominant cloud services developer and we see tremendous demand for its products from our partners and their customers,” said Daniel Saks, AppDirect’s President and Co-CEO. “We’re continuing to invest in creating ways to help our partners distribute Microsoft’s cloud products and ultimately bring valuable cloud services to the world.”
As part of those continued investments in empowering the Microsoft partner ecosystem, AppDirect has also released Dual Service Management, a feature that allows Microsoft's existing Syndication Partners to transact simultaneously as a CSP Partner until the complete transition from Syndication to CSP is enabled. Once enabled, AppDirect can transition Syndication Partners' existing customers to CSP in whatever way fits each Syndication Partner’s needs, either as a batch or through one-to-one transitions.
AppDirect’s Cloud Solution Provider Symposium will be held at Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla., on July 12 beginning at 3:00 PM (EDT). Participants can register for free here.
