As the role of cloud continues to dominate digital transformation for a growing number of businesses, AppDirect is thrilled to kick off the new year by adding the Amazon Web Services (AWS) suite of products to the AppSmart Marketplace under a two-tier resale model. Now, Advisors and end-customers will be able to purchase and access AWS subscriptions directly through the Marketplace. This will also enable users to select services that complement AWS products from the AppSmart Marketplace, and manage each of those under a single-pane of glass experience.

On the heels of adding Google Cloud Platform and the Microsoft Azure suites of products, AWS brings another cloud computing leader to the AppSmart Marketplace, representing AppDirect’s ongoing commitment to delivering industry-leading products and services. With AWS, the AppSmart Advisor community will have access to more tools to effectively scale their digital commerce practices.

The introduction of AWS comes at a critical time for businesses, advisors, and end-users alike. AppDirect’s Small Business Software Trends Report 2021 shows that 45 percent of small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) state that most or all of their business software is based in the cloud. This is in stark contrast to 2017, where only 24 percent said the same. The research also found that 44 percent of SMBs were likely to turn to technology advisors for help with their digital transformation process.

We understand that Advisors continue to manage increased competition in the market and we’re committed to giving our customers valuable services that help them create more cohesive integrations. With one of the largest customer bases globally, AWS often sets the pace in the market when it comes to innovation. For AppSmart Advisors and end-users, AWS helps drive transformative projects and the wide recognition of AWS in the market gives Advisors the ability to serve clients with greater capability and credibility.

Clarify360, a leading Digital Enterprise Consulting firm, sees a competitive advantage in leveraging AWS through the AppSmart Marketplace."For the full year 2021, IDC forecasts cloud infrastructure spending to grow 8.3% compared to 2020 to $71.8 billion,”said Jo Peterson, VP of Cloud and Security Services for Clarify360.

“According to IDC, spending on compute and storage cloud infrastructure will have a compound annual growth rate of 12.4 percent until 2025. It’s clear the world has shifted toward digital commerce. Leveraging automation and a mix of cloud provider’s solutions, IT personnel want to focus on innovation instead of system support and daily maintenance. They want partners with access to diverse portfolios that meet their needs. Along with traditional partner solutions, the AppSmart marketplace provides a robust selection of software and security products. These are the cloud adjacent technologies that help customers round out their architectural needs.”

As we look to the future, the time is right for Advisors to take advantage of the leading cloud solutions available through the AppSmart Marketplace. Head over to theAppSmart Marketplace to learn more about our growing portfolio of cloud solutions.
