Meet Katy: Senior Recruiter, Yoga Buff

So, Katy, what do you do at AppDirect?

I’m a Senior Recruiter here at AppDirect, which means I’m responsible for global sales recruiting. In short, I help build out the sales organization. As Uncle Sam would say, if you’re a customer-facing professional, I want to talk to you!

What do you love most about your job at AppDirect?

I love hearing peoples’ stories and learning about what they have done, how they got there, and what they dream of doing. Recruiting gives me the opportunity to connect with people and see opportunities that can be achieved if we worked together.

Rumor on the street is you’re willing to skip a happy hour in order to make it to yoga… true or false?

True! I love yoga! I fell in love with it nine years ago and have been practicing on the regular ever since. It’s the combination of feeling like a kid again, getting to play around, and having time to dedicate to be quiet and present in a moment. It’s the perfect way to recharge after a busy day.

What are you most excited about in 2015?

I am most excited to head to Machu Picchu with my little sister. A trip to Peru to hike the Inca Trail has been on our bucket list for years and we are finally making it happen. September can’t come soon enough… or maybe it’s going to be here too soon. I should probably start training to hike and bike 45 miles at altitude.
