Doing Your Cloud Commerce Homework: Planning Worksheets

By Gretchen Dukowitz / Jul 10, 2017

Change at any organization can be difficult, but at service providers, such as telecom companies, ISPs, business services and financial services providers, and others, it can be especially tough. Lack of data, siloed teams, problems getting executive attention and buy-in—these issues and more can face even the most streamlined companies.

With this in mind, it becomes clear why launching a cloud commerce initiative can be particularly hard. These efforts require clear goals, close cross-functional collaboration, and solid execution. Knowing where to start to marshal these forces is half the battle.

To make it easier, AppDirect has created two worksheets that can help you identify all of the necessary parts of a cloud commerce plan. The first worksheet, Jumpstart Your Cloud Service Commerce Plan, helps you do just that: jumpstart your plan by helping you determine the executive sponsors, value proposition, and key performance indicators that you want to impact with a cloud commerce initiative.

The second, Building a Cloud Service Commerce Business Case, walks you through all of the elements you need to lay the groundwork for a well-thought out strategy, including customer segments, total addressable market, churn rates, average time to market, and more.

These worksheets are adapted from the actual exercises that the AppDirect Sales team uses with prospects and new customers. They have helped many of our customers get to market quickly, and start seeing return on their cloud commerce initiatives faster.

Whether you chose to partner with AppDirect or not, these worksheets will take the guesswork out of getting your cloud commerce project off the ground. Click below to download each worksheet:
