AppDirect Opens Its Doors in Munich

In April, AppDirect had the privilege of sponsoring the Telco Cloud World Forum in Munich, Germany. While there, we had the chance to meet with hundreds of executives from all over the globe who are using cloud technology to push the boundaries of what’s possible. At the time, I hinted at our plans for expanding our presence in Europe; today, I am proud to announce that AppDirect’s new Munich office is open for business.

AppDirect has reach to more than 150 countries worldwide, so why Munich? The city, Germany’s third largest, has long been recognized as a center of innovation, making it an ideal location for a fast growing, innovative company like AppDirect.

Looking at the larger picture, a recent survey shows that European businesses may be even more cloud savvy that their U.S. counterparts. Only one in 10 European companies report internal resistance when transitioning to cloud-based software and services, while more than half of U.S. companies do.

Clearly, businesses across Europe are excited about cloud technology and are adopting it at a rapid rate. For European communication service providers, this means the discussion has shifted; cloud software and services are no longer viewed as a supplement to existing business, but as something that will fundamentally reshape the industry.

At AppDirect, we recognize just how critical Europe is to the growth of the cloud economy in general, and the cloud service marketplace and management sector in particular. That’s why growing our presence in Europe is critical. With our Munich office, we are poised to better serve our existing European partners, as well as forge new partnerships to drive innovation and value.
