AppDirect Empowers Users With Release of v0.8

App Direct V0 8

With the opening of the Bell Business Apps Store a few weeks ago, we have had the opportunity to collect invaluable information from our early adopters in Canada. We have used their feedback to make some great improvements to the end-user experience and are proud to present our latest iteration of AppDirect v0.8.

Users Can Now Buy Apps

AppDirect early adopters have made it clear that users, not just administrators, want the power to subscribe to applications. Application developers in our community also reinforced the need to empower users with purchasing rights. To address this, we have given all users the ability to begin free trials to any apps they would like, whether they have administrator privileges or not. Then, users can decide if a particular app helps them get their job done and spread the word to peers and managers in their company.

Admins Can Adopt Apps

Empowering users to participate in the selection process can expedite the procurement process and drive application utilization within a company. After users try free trial of applications and finds them useful, company administrators can "adopt" these applications. This means, they can take over administrative control of an application and begin making subscription payments.

At AppDirect, we strive to make finding, buying and using business apps easy and fun for everyone. Please let us know what you think of new user empowerment features in v0.8. We look forward to your feedback.
